Filmmakers, Barry McKnight and Roger Cowland, made Rainbow Raider about a wild rainbow lorikeet parrot that came to their backyard in Sydney, Australia. Here is a little background from Barry and Roger:
The lorikeet was a totally wild bird that learned to take the lid off the honey pot after we had showed him how to do it once. Filming became a little difficult after we set up the camera on a tripod because he wouldn't come near. However, we eventually sat the camera on a table opposite, set it going and left the room. He was quite happy to perform without the tripod! |
